My career within the legal profession started more than 25 years ago with a family law firm in which I enjoyed a range of work including various aspects of conveyancing and business transactions, also acting as the firms Immigration Consultant during a year based in Oxford, UK.
More recently I spent eight years as a Mortgage Broker, first in business with Law Lend NZ Ltd, contracting out to six major law firms in Dunedin, and then as a Director, owner and the Manager of the Otago/Southland Franchise of Mike Pero Mortgages. During that time, I was a member of the NZ Mortgage Brokers Association and was voted one of the top 5 Brokers in the South Island.
In 2006 I came to Polson McMillan in a legal executive role encompassing all aspects of conveyancing, property transactions, lending, relationship property, family trusts and estates, allowing me to apply a professional lifetime of specialist experience to helping people achieve their property goals. More recently my role in the firm has evolved to have an administrative focus with responsibility for client liaison and credit control, allowing me to draw on a professional lifetime of experience in different areas of work where my skills as a “people-person” have been to the fore. I enjoy working in a friendly, family-firm environment where clients feel welcome, supported and reassured.
Outside of work my husband and I and our 3 adult daughters enjoy a variety of pursuits including skiing, yachting, tennis and Ceroc dancing. I am a member of the Otago Yacht Club, an Art Group , and the Columba Old Girls Association.
